Sports Event & Equestrian Sound Systems
Pantheon Sound provides professional sound reinforcement for sports events and equestrian competitions across Hungary. From show jumping to marathon running, we design zoned sound systems tailored to each sport's unique requirements — including controlled sound pressure levels for equestrian events where horse sensitivity is a critical factor.
Sports events we cover
We specialize in equestrian competitions — show jumping, dressage, carriage driving and eventing — where understanding of horse behavior and noise sensitivity is essential. We also cover running events, cycling races, ball sports, athletics and motorsport.
Sports event sound goes beyond music: commentary systems, results announcements, safety communications — all run through the PA. Reliability directly impacts the competition and the spectator experience.
- Equestrian competitions — show jumping, dressage, carriage driving, eventing (specialty)
- Running events — marathon, trail, urban running
- Cycling races — road, track, criterium
- Ball sports — outdoor tournaments
- Athletics — stadium and outdoor track events
- Motorsport — car and motorcycle events
Equestrian events — unique challenges
Equestrian sound reinforcement is one of the most demanding tasks in event technology. Competition areas span multiple hectares, spectators and competitors occupy separate zones, and horses are sensitive to sudden loud sounds — which can cause panic and endanger riders and audience alike.
We use controlled SPL: speakers are positioned and aimed so that commentary is clear in spectator areas while sound pressure gradually decreases toward the competition arena and warm-up areas. Multiple zones (grandstand, competition arena, warm-up, VIP, award ceremony) each run at individual volume levels, connected via Audinate Dante network audio.
- Controlled SPL — prioritizing horse welfare and rider safety
- Multi-zone coverage — grandstand, arena, warm-up, VIP, awards
- Weather-resistant equipment — rain, wind and dust protection
- Commentary system — wireless mic, synced across all zones
- Results and ceremony pre-programmed Scene transitions
Why Pantheon Sound for your sports event?
At a sports event, the PA isn't decoration — it's core infrastructure for running the competition. If commentary isn't intelligible, if results announcements don't reach the back of the grandstand, competition quality and safety both suffer.
We bring backup equipment to every event. Our technical crew is on site for the entire duration. Free site survey for every project.

FAQ — Sports Event & Equestrian Sound Systems
Will the system spook the horses?
We use controlled SPL with directional speakers aimed at spectator zones. Sound pressure gradually decreases toward the competition arena. A properly designed system doesn't cause stress to the animals.
How large an area can you cover?
With distributed point source speakers and delay lines, we cover virtually any area. A typical equestrian venue (3-5 hectares including spectator areas) is standard. Larger areas use additional delay positions synced via Dante network.
Does the system work in rain?
Yes. We use weather-rated equipment and protected connectors for outdoor sports events. The system operates normally in light to moderate rain. Extreme weather triggers our safety protocol.
